A THICK DARK SYRUP MADE FROM MATURE SUGAR CANE
Also known as black treacle, blackstrap molasses has a rich flavour and aroma. Its made by crushing sugar cane to make cane juice, which is then boiled three times to produce a concentrated syrup. Can be used as a natural sweetener or to boost flavour in a range of both sweet and savoury recipes. A rich source of vitamins and minerals.
HOW TO USE
> Use as a natural sweetener in hot drinks or add flavour and caramel colour to baked goods. Great in steamed puddings, bread, biscuits, muesli bars and fruit cake.
> Use to make your own yummy blackstrap licorice.
> Delicious in marinades and sauces, or drizzled over pancakes or ice-cream!
Product should last up to 12 months if stored in an airtight container in a dry, cool dark area.
