A WHEAT-RYE HYBRID GRAIN
Triticale is a clever blend of wheat and rye! It was created by Swedish researchers in 1875. Whole triticale grains have been steamed and rolled, to produce a cereal with a flavour lighter than rye, but richer than wheat. It has a sweet, nutty taste and chewy texture. A great source of fibre.
HOW TO USE
> Use it to make a uniquely flavoured cereal or you can replace other rolled grains in your baking.
> Combine soaked triticale with spices and cheese to stuff eggplant or large mushrooms.
