SLIGHTLY SWEET, COARSE FLOUR
Organic Yellow Corn Maize Flour is produced by milling yellow maize grain (corn kernels) into a flour. The oily, protein-rich germ is not removed so maximum nutrition is retained. The difference between maize flour and maize starch (also called maize cornflour) is that maize flour is made by finely grinding whole corn kernels, whereas maize starch is made just from the starchy part of corn. As a result, flour contains protein, fibre, starch, vitamins, and minerals. Unlike corn masa flour, it doesnt have the addition of lime. An excellent wholegrain flour for sweet and savoury baking as well as for thickening sauces.
